I surpassed my reading goal by 17 books! How did I get from rarely reading –> to reading a book a month –> to reading on average 5 books a month?! CRAZY right?!
Here Is How I Got to Read 60+ Books in One Year and How You Can Too!
Being in business is fun, but it also takes a lot of hard work! Let's balance it out with Self-Care by doing things we enjoy!
Growing up people ALWAYS would talk about how slow January would go by. It would literally feel like the longest month evvveeerrrr. NOT THIS YEAR! Everyone I have spoke to have been weirdly busy! Thankfully I was still able to get some reading in (thank goodness for audiobooks), and I am thrilled to be here to share more about them with you!
I have re-done this blog a million and one times… more like three times…BUT THAT’S OKAY! Welcome back to the Curly N Loud LIFESTYLE blog.
Curly N Loud started as a lifestyle blog…but then people told they were ACTUALLY reading it. LOL! So I felt the need to make it more specific towards a particular category/niche… or FOR people. Which then made blogging feel tedious and I started to hate blogging.
So now…
I have come up with so many ideas (the problem of being an entrepreneur), and have been trying to implement them to the best of my abilities, and as best as I can while COVID-19 is still active. I wanted to share some of these ideas with you to let you know what is happening behind the scenes of Curly N Loud, Fire Hydrant Pet Sitting Co., and myself! I am also sharing these ideas with you just in case you are interested in any of them. Let’s Begin!
Knowing the following 3 things about your competition can help your business so much and can answer those tricky questions like: What services/products do I offer? What should my rates/pricing be? What do I need to do to market my business?
In this post you will learn 3 huge things that you need and must know about competition so it can help your business grow!
So many people come up to me and tell me that they wish they can get into reading, but don’t exactly know how or when to make time for it. Which coming from me and many other bookstagrammers, YOU ARE MISSING OUT and it is WAY easier than you think. In this post I will go over HOW you can create a habit reading the books you have been desperately wanting to pick and enjoy. Along with HOW to fit this new habit into your schedule.
Are you thinking about outsourcing some tasks to ease up some of your workload? GREAT! It will be the best business decision you make! Plus it will allow you to use that time to do more important things – like having more time with your dog or focusing on more vital work tasks. Hiring a Virtual Assistant (VA) can literally lift the weight off your shoulders. But…BEFORE you go and hire a VA, please consider the following!
The hard work and hustle is fun, especially when you get the paycheck that you worked so hard for! BUT you need some ‘me-time’. There are so many self-care activities out there, but can any of them be quick / easy enough so you can get other things done? Well you can put an end to that search, because in this article you will find quick and easy self-care activities that any busy-body can do!
Do you know the difference between knowing your ‘why’ and having a passion? It is very important for you to know the difference when we are talking about business. Either if it’s taking photos, marketing, crafts, dog walking, etc., you need to know WHY you are doing it, and WHY it’s going to get you across the finish line and lead you to success.
We have all heard that saying, “if you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life!”. Which may have even led to think, “oh I love to sell and make jewelry! It’s my my life-long passion!” As nice as it is to hear “do what you love”, in all honesty, it takes a lot of work and structure to lead your business to success, and to maintain that success. So the main question is, is your passion enough to keep your business going?
For 400 years, black people have been oppressed. From being forced into slave labor, marching for our voices to be heard, being segregated and discriminated against, having to fight for our right to vote and to be treated and viewed as equal. Here we are in 2020, and black people are being shot at or killed because the cops are “scared”, when they are the ones with the gun.
Personally, all I can do is share the word and let others know that black people matter via social media, calls on the phone, or in person. Black lives mean something, they matter! These are human lives we are talking about! Friends, family, neighbors, etc. getting severely hurt, abused by excessive police force, not given fair and equal justice as the white man. People of color (POC) – blacks, latios/latinas, Asians, etc.. – we deserve to be looked at and treated as equals.
